De Zaai-Ster is a wholesale company and distribution centre specialising in organic fresh produce in the north of The Netherlands. The products - vegetables, fruit, dairy, meat, vegetarian products, etc. - are mostly produced in the same northern region. The company sells and distributes it's produce to organic specialty stores, health food stores, farm stores, restaurants, and company cafeterias.

De Zaai-Ster sells products that are ecologically grown and produced. They have been produced with the least possible artificial factors and with the most possible respect for nature. Organic farming works towards a natural balance, where animals and plants depend on each other for food and fertilizer.

De Zaai-Ster is a company with seven executive owners, all sharing in the running of the company. The company has about fourty employees. The company runs on durable and lasting business relations. The main goal is not to profit on the short term, but focusing on lasting benefits for the society in the long run.
